R. Buckminster Fuller
We make assumptions about people; they may be judgements or just observations on what we think we know or what we see.
Each of us thinks we see things as they are, and that we are objective. But we see the world, not as it is, but as we are or as we are conditioned to see it.
Have you ever seen a frog jump backwards? Have you ever seen a cat try to be a dog? Has spring ever decided not to come?
Animals and nature never try to be anything other than what they were meant to be. Nature relies on its instincts, we all have instincts too, however we are conditioned not to trust them and it starts at an early age.
Adults assume that babies and children do not know what they want, so we tell them. We make decisions for them, instead of teaching them how to make them for themselves.
We talk, when we should listen. Then they become teenagers and young adults that struggle with the smallest challenges, then, it is expected as an Adult to make all the right decisions.
When this doesn’t happen, we fail to see how this person will find their way. We all find our way eventually, some take longer than others, but we all do, and when it does happen, it’s miraculous.
Miracles happen when we trust our natural instincts, when we take time to figure out who we are and when we are true to ourselves, we go with the flow, and we are one with the natural cycle of our life.
This is the Journey we seek, to be who we are meant to be.
Just as a caterpillar has to cocoon itself in order to turn into a butterfly, the journey doesn’t end there, the butterfly must eat its way out of the cocoon to gather strength to fly.
So we can be there for others as they go on their journey but we cannot do it for them, otherwise they will not gather enough strength for their own journey.
Life is always about moving forward, that is why frogs cannot jump backwards, they can jump side to side and forward but not backwards.
And once a caterpillar becomes a butterfly it cannot go back to being a caterpillar. And just as each of us becomes empowered and trusting in who we are, we cannot go back, but we can move forward.
Take some time to find out if you trust your instincts or your gut as some might refer to;
We all have moments that would not indicate we could ever become butterflies, but when we take time to cocoon and find our inner instinct; we then have the knowing that we can become what and who we are meant to be.
When we look to nature we understand our life better. We all get to a place where we need to grow to move, it takes a significant amount of energy to go against the current, use your energy wisely; being who you are can be easy, if you allow it.
