“A man who limits his interests, limits his life” -Vincent Price
Do you have a list of things you will do when you retire? Or do you
wonder what you will do with all your time. Life is all about balance, it’s ok to work hard as long as you plan time for relaxing and doing things
you love to do. This is where it gets tricky, for most of us, finding
balance, finding time to do the things you enjoy. We have all heard the
saying “there are not enough hours in the day” Is this true for you?
Let’s take a look at how we spend our days and see if we have a good
balance between work and play;
2. Do I stress trying to fit everything in?
3. Do I thrive on deadlines?
4. Do I feel motivated by stress?
5. Do I have any hobbies or interests?
6. Do I pursue them? Am I waiting until I have more time?
7. When will I have more time?
8. Do I know how to give myself time?
We all want to be interesting, but in order to do that we need to be
engaging in others, in ourselves and in life. Taking some time to make
a list of interests you have and then choosing one. Make a plan for
yourself to discover what interests you, inspires you and challenges
you outside of what you do for a living. So many of us put our interests
aside thinking that someday I will do that, or I will have time when the
kids leave home or I retire, but as you have probably experienced time
flies, and before you know it all of those things have come and gone.
One of the beautiful things about our lives, is we can choose at any
moment what we are going to do with our time. The time is now, choose
to find balance in your life, find a hobby or interest, and do what you
have always wanted to do. Find a way to enjoy all the moments of your
life, because if your enjoyment is solely based on “someday or when
this happens” You will miss it all! Life is now, so make the decision to
find your peace of mind and spend time doing the things you want to do,
enjoy an unlimited life!!!
