Did you coast through 2016, allowing time to pass by without making progress towards any major goals? Have you been playing it safe, afraid to venture out of your comfort zone?

Refer to these tips every day if you want to start to initiate change and take more action in 2017!

1. Use your time wisely

Do you have an accurate idea of where you spend most of your time? If you don't, start a time journal and keep track of what you do from the moment you get up until you go to bed.

You might be surprised how much time you spend on social media, playing video games, or watching TV. Start planning meaningful work and activities during that time and you will be amazed how much you can get done in a day.

2. Focus on one small step at a time

We all know that Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will your dream life. That idea can be a bit intimidating, but if you chip away at your goals you can start to achieve progress fast.

Start by writing down ultimate goals (no matter how big), and come up with a list of actions you can take every day that will bring you closer to reaching those goals.

3. Talk less, do more

It's easy to tell ourselves "This is my year!", but how many years have we been saying that for? Becoming a person of action this year will require you to stop talking about the things you want to accomplish and start doing them!

Don't wait for the things you want most in life to come to you. Follow these tips to take control of your destiny and really start living today.
